One of Glasgow’s most popular bars, Malones, is now home to Scotland’s first rooftop cider garden after joining forcers with Magners
MAGNERS Original Irish Cider has joined forces with one of Glasgow’s best-loved bars, Malones, to create the ultimate bar experience – Scotland’s first rooftop cider garden.
The new garden area – the result of a major six-month renovation – “combines the relaxed vibe of a rustic backyard with essentials for a great night out”, including a BBQ station, picnic tables and bespoke VIP booths with built in ice-buckets.
At the heart of the bar is a stunning apple tree centrepiece, draped in twinkling lights and with bottles of Magners dangling from its branches.
Featuring outdoor heating and a swinging seat, the space is partially covered so customers can enjoy a drink in the Magners Rooftop Cider Garden whatever the weather or temperature.
Janette Murray, brand manager for Magners, said: “Magners wanted to do something different and bring Scotland its very first rooftop cider bar with a twist – and we’re thrilled with the final results.
“The Magners Rooftop Cider Garden has a warm, laidback vibe in the hugely popular Malones bar making it the perfect setting for an after-work drink or a night out with pals at the weekend.
“The best part is that it’s open all year round, so you can enjoy good times with friends in this amazing space, come rain or shine. We’ll say cheers to that.”
Simon Keane, managing director of Malones in Glasgow’s Sauchiehall Lane, added: “We’ve wanted to create an amazing rooftop bar since we opened four years ago and with Magners on board we’ve been able to make it happen.
“There really is nothing like this bar anywhere in Scotland and we’re over the moon to launch this incredible space.”
