There are a series of free one hour employer events available during the Scottish Apprenticeship Week, from 7th – 11th March to support employers of all sizes from every sector. All the events are for businesses of all sizes, support existing apprentice employers and aim to attract new employers to invest in apprenticeships.
Monday, 7 March 10am – Scottish Apprenticeships work for your business
For both apprentice employers and those looking to take on an apprentice, this event will outline the range of support available to recruit including funding and how apprenticeships can provide a solution to challenges such as an ageing workforce or upskilling existing staff. Experts from SDS and learning provision will explain the different types of apprenticeships and how they can support all areas of a business. The event will feature apprentice employers and apprentices to share their experiences of the benefits of apprenticeships. 8 – 10 March – Making apprenticeships work employer webinarsFive one hour webinars delivered by Skills Development Scotland covering topics including Foundation, Modern and Graduate Apprenticeships, how to diversify through work-based learning and labour market intelligence. All are aimed to provide in-depth practical and step by step advice and information to help employers get started and understand how each can help their business.
